Closing, overflow and control gates, turning dams and stop log dams
Gates and dams are installed in channels, basin walls and various kinds of basins. We design and manufacture different kinds of closing gates, overflow gates, turning dams and even stop log dams for use during construction for water purification plants, water distribution systems, equalization basins etc.
Mixers
Mixing is often needed in water purification and sludge treatment processes. It is used most commonly for mixing chemicals with water or sludge. Different types of water can also be mixed with each other to create a mixture suitable for the treatment process. Mixers are also commonly used for keeping water or sludge volumes homogenous. We provide mixers for all of these applications.
Sand filtration and mechanical filtration
This is a presentation of sand filtration without pressure and pressurised mechanical filtration using a perforated steel plate, a steel wedge wire plate or a woven steel surface as the filter element. We offer gravitational sand bed filters for concrete or steel basins. The sand bed is cleaned by backwash air and backwash water.
We also provide sand filters based on continuous backwashing where the filter sand is continuously lifted up using an air pump through the washer and the clean sand is returned on the filter mass. We also provide pressurised filters using a steel filter surface where the filtering cylinder is placed in a round tank.
Lamellar clarification
Lamellar clarification is an enhanced form of clarification that is based on gravitation. Lamellar plates or pipes are placed in the clarification basin at a vertical angle of approximately thirty degrees. This allows a faster separation of solids from the water compared to the settling speed in a normal water basin. Heavy sludge settles on the bottom of the basin and water rises to the surface.
If three materials, such as solids (heavy), oil (light) and water with the help of lamellae is required, cross-flow lamellar clarification is used. In this case, oil rises to the surface, solids settle to the bottom and the clarified water leaves the basin at its end. We offer different kinds of lamellar clarification device implementations.
Flotation
Flotation is a method for separating suspended solids from water by means of foaming. We deliver flotation systems based on the DAF method (dissolved air flotation). In flotation, suspended solids are lifted on the surface of water using the buoyant force of fine bubbles in air-dispersed water and then scraping off the solids for further processing.
Flotation is used in many industrial and municipal waste water purification plants as a part of the process. Flotation is also used for the purification of water and the sludge thickening. We offer a very comprehensive range of flotation units.
Storage silos with discharge devices for de-watered sludge
Storage silos for de-watered sludge are used at water purification and waste water processing plants for transporting the de-watered sludge away or optimising the dosage for further processing. Silo volumes and discharge equipment capacities are designed to fit the sludge mass logistics.
We specialise in the design, manufacturing and delivery of silos and their input and discharge equipment.
Sludge de-watering units
Below is a presentation of mechanical sludge de-watering units that does not include de-watering units using thermal energy, for example. Our equipment can be used for processing various kinds of sludges generated in water treatment processes. The sludges to be processed may vary greatly in thickness since our de-watering units always contain a preliminary thickening drum combined with a de-watering unit.
The de-watering units always include flocculation by polymer liquid. The polymer equipment can be included in the scope of delivery. We also manufacture conveyor for de-watered sludge.
Sludge thickening
Water purification and sludge treatment processes generate sludge that is not suitable for further processing because its concentration is too low or it is otherwise in a form that is difficult to process further. In such a case, the sludge must be thickened. Sludge thickening is usually used as an intermediate step to improve the quality of sludge before the next sludge processing step.
We provide different kinds of sludge thickener equipment for various kinds of sludges. Chemical coagulant is used in some sludge thickening processes to enhance the thickening process.
Biological process units
The devices listed below are included in the final sedimentation phase of the biological purification process. We supply different types of clarification devices and scrapers for removing the sludge forming during the clarification. Final sedimentation is needed to separate the biomass formed in the biological process from the water.
In addition to scrapers, the sedimentation devices include units that slow down the flow of the supply water, overflow channels for the clarified water, surface sludge removal devices, various kinds of flow prevention plates and sometimes chemical stirring devices as well. We provide all of these parts based on individual needs.
Dosage of chemicals
Different kinds of chemicals are dosed in water purification for various purposes. The necessary equipment is selected on the planned chemicals and dosage needs. The type of chemicals is selected based on laboratory tests and existing knowledge of the process. Chemicals are dosed into the process as powders or liquids. Please contact our specialists who help you choose the correct chemical dosage system and chemical type.
Preliminary clarification
Preliminary clarification is used when not enough solids have been removed in the previous treatment process phases. In such a case, the water coming to preliminary clarification contains so much solids and other impurities that the following process parts would be excessively loaded and would not have adequate purification capacity.
Compact screening and sand/scum separation units
These compact treatment units include the same treatment operations as the separate screening, sieving, sand separation and surface sludge separation units. These units are delivered as complete units that can be transported to the site and installed from just a couple of partial components.
Sand and surface sludge separation units
Sand separation units are needed when water contains a harmful amount of sand or other inorganic heavy particles after the previous treatment step, causing harm to the nature or to the operation of subsequent treatment phases.
Surface sludge separation units are needed when water contains a harmful amount of light solids, grease or oil after the previous treatment step, causing harm to the nature or to the operation of subsequent treatment phases.
Screening and sieving
The products of this product group are needed when the water contains a harmful amount of solids, causing harm to the nature or to the operation of subsequent treatment phases.
